  • IoT Fundamentals

    Course Summary:
    The hands-on IoT Fundamentals curriculum addresses the main stages of digitization: 1) identifying and communicating a business or social problem; 2) designing and connecting IoT devices to interact with the physical world; 3) gathering, managing, and visualizing the data generated; and 4) presenting your IoT solution to a panel of experts.

    The first course, Connecting Things, focuses on identifying, designing, prototyping, and presenting an IoT solution that securely solves a current business or social problem. It is recommended that you have a basic understanding of how to network devices in a LAN and connect them to the internet; an ability to solve basic algorithmic problems using a programming language; knowledge of basic physics concepts such as current, voltage, resistance, and power; and a familiarity with Cisco Packet Tracer.

    The Big Data & Analytics course builds on Connecting Things, teaching you how to collect, store, and visualize data obtained from IoT sensors. You’ll develop the ability to extract data and use data analytics to gain insights, an extremely valuable skill to employers. It is recommended that you have experience writing and debugging Python code

    In the hackathon, you’ll apply the multidisciplinary skills learned in Connecting Things and Big Data & Analytics to identify and solve a real-world problem.
    ● Learn rapid prototyping techniques using Maker technologies such as sensors, electronics, and Arduino microcontrollers.
    ● Use visual programming or Python to enable a Raspberry Pi for the gathering and storing of data via APIs.
    ● Practice what you learn using both real equipment and Cisco Packet Tracer, a network configuration simulation tool.
    ● Deliver business value for your IoT solution by applying analytical thinking and gaining insights from the data you’ve collected.
    ● Develop high-demand skills such as creative problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration and communication in hands-on lab and hackathon experiences.

  • Introduction to HP Cloud Computing

    Course Description: The Introduction to HP Cloud Computing course teaches students how to design and implement key technologies that are the building blocks of modern day cloud environments. The course introduces students to concepts of network switching and routing, presents and compares various server and storage technologies, and introduces virtualization techniques. At the end of the course, students will be able to design and implement a cloud environment in a small-sized data center.

  • Red Hat System Administration I (RH124)

    Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) is designed for students who are new to Linux and require core Red Hat Enterprise Linux skills. Focused on administration tasks that will be encountered in the workplace, this course will actively engage students in task-focused activities, lab-based knowledge checks, and facilitative discussions to ensure maximum knowledge and skill transfer and retention. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform installation, establish network connectivity, manage physical storage and perform basic security administration. Students will receive an certificate of attendance from Red Hat Academey upon completion of this course.

    After done with the course, the student can take the PE124 Exam using his/her own laptop. The exam fees is not covered with the course.
    Note: Unlike EX200 exam, the student will not get a certificate, he/she will get only a certification id that proves to prospective employers that he passed the exam, the differences between them are available in the following this link.

  • Red Hat System Administration III (RH294)

    Red Hat System Administration III is designed for experienced Linux administrators who require networking and security administration skills. The course builds on knowledge and skills learned in Red Hat System Administration I and II. Focus is placed on enhancing the students' automation skills to securely configure, deploy and manage network services including DNS, Apache, SMTP and network file sharing. In addition, this course emphasizes security, including monitoring, packet filtering, access controls and SELinux.
