Eng. Fatma Ahmad Bazargan has over 13 years of experience in both IT Security Operations and Information Security Management
Currently she is filling the role of the Head of Information Security Office at Injazat Data Systems, a Technology Service Provider and a Mubadala Company. Prior to Injazat, Fatma worked for Masdar as the Head of IT and IT Security overseeing all the IT Security duties of Masdar City. Additionally, she has also managed the Security Research and Analysis function at the UAE National Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT) and is also recognized as the aeCERT Founder.
Fatma is the first UAE National female to hold the highly renowned certification of the Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with good standing ever since 2006 besides all her other IT security certifications. She was also awarded recently the MESA CISO100 and MESA ISC2 Award as Woman Security Leader 2016.
Fatma earned her Masters of Science Degree in Computer Systems Security with Merit from University of South Wales, UK in 2004 and holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, UAE in 2002. During his time at ADU, he received multiple awards including the Distinguished Faculty Award in 2014, and the Teaching Award of 2013. Dr. Ghazal lead the BSc programs in ECE to achieve ABET and WASC accreditation. Under his leadership, the department has grown in the number of students, laboratories, faculty, and programs and is home to two bachelors, two minors, and two Master’s programs serving over 300 students. Under his supervision, ECE students have won major national and international awards and secured top places in competitions including a Special Innovation Award of 1,000,000 from HH Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum as part of the Best m-Government Service Award Competition during the Government Summit. Dr. Ghazal also leads ADU E-Learning initiative. He has authored 35 publications in technical journals and international conferences including Elsevier’s Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, and IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics. AbdulWahab Kabani completed his bachelor degree in computer science at the American University of Sharjah in December 2009. Currently, AbdulWahab is a PhD candidate at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. His research interests revolve around the use of convolutional neural networks to solve computer vision tasks such as image classification and segmentation. In August 2016, Kaggle ranked AbdulWahab as one of the top 28 data scientists out of 48,631 data scientists. Recently, he won the Halyard Ultrasound Nerve Segmentation competition. In this competition, he was ranked in the first place out of 923 teams, and received a $50,000 cash prize. His solution in this competition will help in reducing the dependence on narcotics after surgery.
Ahmad graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah in 2011. I am a PhD student at the Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Laboratory (KDD) in the department of computer science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), advised by Prof. Zbigniew Ras. Eng. Ismael Al Shiab, a Cisco Instructor Trainer (ITQ) and Computer Engineer, has more than 10 years of academic and professional experience in the fields of computer networks, routing, switching, computer security, operating systems administration, and Cisco training. He received his MSc. degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah in 2015. Due to his strong expertise and knowledge, he has been selected as an expert in the Emirates Skills National Competition in IT and Network Administration Category for five years. Since 2007, he has conducted many Cisco training sessions for students and instructors. He worked with Zayed University, Institute of Applied Technology, University of Jordan, and Riyadh College of Technology in UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia respectively. Currently, Ismael is working toward the Ph.D. Degree in Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Murad Qasaimeh joined Iowa State University as a PhD student in Computer Engineering in 2015. He received his B.S. in computer engineering from JUST university in 2011, and his M.Sc. from American University of Sharjah (AUS) in 2014. His research interests include image and video processing, parallel hardware architectures, hardware accelerators, FPGA/ASIC design, system on chip (SoC) design, and real-time embedded systems design.
Salsabeel acquired a degree of B.S. in Computer Engineering from AUS in 2014. She is currently pursuing her M.S. degree in Computer engineering at the same university. During her undergraduate studies, she also worked at AUS as a research assistant, a teaching assistant, and a lab assistant. Sarah AlOtaibi, computer Engineer Graduate from AUS year 2013, currently working in Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry under its new initiative known as Sgarjah Economic Excellence Network, in which I am responsible of 5 excellence awards for SME, medium and large sized companies in Sharjah and all over the UAE. Khalid El Dhmashawy graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a Bachelors of Science in

Prior to graduating from AUS, Khalid managed to land an internship in a leading banking solutions company in
Germany, where he acquired a set of skills that enabled him to embark on prosperous career. During his studies
at AUS, he acquired a various set of skills and programming languages, which include but are not limited to- Java,
Python and C++.
Khalid is also a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in both Security as well as Routing and Switching. He
also received a Security+ certificate from the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), and is
currently pursuing Certified Ethical Hacking offered by the EC Council.
After graduating from the American University of Sharjah, Khalid commenced his career at Bios Middle East, a
UAE based IT Systems and Cloud System Integrator and Provider. He currently looks after security of CloudHPT

Mahitab Hassan acquired a degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and completed the requirements for a Computer Science minor at AUS in 2015.
