    2018 Summit Information

    Industry experts and academics from across the United Arab Emirates gathered at American University of Sharjah (AUS), November 22, to discuss the latest trends and research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet-of-Things (IoT), and Cyber-physical Systems (CPS) pertaining to smart cities. Entitled “Applications of AI, IoT and CPS in Smart Cities Summit,” the conference was held in the AUS Main Building on campus and saw a diverse range of sessions and presentations.

    Organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the AUS College of Engineering, the conference is a reflection of the university’s commitment to becoming a forum where research and innovation – especially as it relates to the challenges facing the region – are discussed and carried out.

    Eight distinguished speakers from Cisco, Nokia, IBM, HPE, SAP, VMware, Khalifa University and AUS delivered presentations at the event. This event was co-sponsored by Smart Cities Research Institute and Sahab Smart Solutions.

    More than 100 leading industry experts and academicians attended the event, along with senior AUS officials, faculty members, students and alumni.
